Confined Spaces

The two common confined spaces in the motor workshop is storage tanks and enclosed drains / manholes. Storage tanks are filled with oil, chemicals that is used during the service of a vehicle, it is enclosed space under ground and can cause serious injuries or drowning. Sample below of such tanks.
Manholes form part of these tanks, to get in and out, it is normally small and narrow, and difficult to move in it. The drains does get drained by wasteman on a regular basis, and a register gets signed off with a certificate of date that must be kept on record in the event of inspections.
